This is a little church with a HUGE heart! It was the first mission in Denver. I worked with this church 5 years ago helping to implement this event. Please come out and support this community wide outreach to feed families this Thanksgiving. You can donate your time and money by following the links below! Please read on to find out more:

Denver Feed A Family: Thanksgiving 2009Giving Thanks One Basket at a TimeNovember 21, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. | |
Last year The Epworth Foundation and its generous sponsors distributed 8,500 baskets of food to Denver-area families who otherwise might not have been able to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner together. This year the need is greater than ever. Once again, the Foundation needs the community's help. To feed a family: for only $29 you can provide a basket with turkey, potatoes, onions, green beans, corn, corn bread mix, macaroni and cheese, cake mix, sugar, flour, and cranberries. To manage this effort: Epworth will need 1,000 volunteers for three hours each. Volunteers must sign up online before November 21, 2009. BASKETS As expected, the need has been extremely strong and we have reached our limit of 8,250 nominations for baskets. Cards will be sent to each address during the next week, notifying recipients about pickup times. Thank you! | ![]() "You can't beat love," Daddy said. "Nothing beats love. If you give just one thing, you get three things back. That's why I do it." Those words, from Denver's own "Daddy Bruce" Randolph, summed up his generosity and giving spirit as he served food to Denver's hungry beginning several decades ago. This annual event commemorates his memory and his spirit of giving. Since 2003, the Epworth Foundation and generous community sponsors have carried on Daddy Bruce's tradition by serving Denver's neediest families, providing more than 35,000 baskets of food. |
